I suffer from a couple of these. Does that make me a philosopher?

This must have been what Thelonious Monk was thinking of when he wrote "Crepuscule With Nellie".

Always sounded like a medical condition to me 😜. Glad to know the real meaning.

Oneiric and acedia! Perfect words for my life. Thank you. I've been having lots of oneiric dreams the past few years, weird stuff, some waking me in the night wondering what the hell! Then, of course, the siesta time at one p.m., just as you said, when the brain settles into a blissful fog and the eyes barely stay open long enough to get me to the bed. Ahhhh, REM sleep immediately. Our days should be scheduled around acedia.

Grant, I love these words and the comics to illustrate them, especially the Barefoot comic. Brilliant work!

I knew the word crepuscular. It's one I love to teach to kids when talking about nature. I had not heard crepuscular rays, though I have seen many and photographed many.

Ooo, you just gave me an idea to add to my nature journaling class I'll be teaching this summer. A word of the week and they can draw it.

One of my favorite combinations of wondrous words you’ve yet compiled :) acedia, deal with that every day at work - and crepuscular is a word I definitely need to work into something soon. It’s too good not to!!
