The looseness & play & varied shapes/intensity of the blue squigglines, both within each panel and as you progress through them, is so so great.

is poetry comics month a thing? or your thing? (I call what I do poetry comics, but it's not at all like this.)

Thank you, Jen! I was inspired by this book of wave designs (though I made up some of my own): https://publicdomainreview.org/collection/hamonshu-a-japanese-book-of-wave-and-ripple-designs-1903/

I started Poetry Comics Month in 2022 as a way to motivate myself to make and post new work. But I hope others are inspired to participate, and I'd love to see it be a bigger movement and spark the ideas of a bunch of new poet/cartoonists!
