Maybe we don't need the trophies or their cases. The tally sheets of our achievements. The lists of our accolades or goals. Maybe we just need rhythm and repetition. A baseline of contentment. A standard of acceptance. Our enoughness in daily chronicles. A million small joys and little wonders building into a ritual record of our time here.
It was such a good read. I have his follow up to it, but like so many of teh book on my shelf, I haven't read it yet. It's a delight to look forward to.
Indeed! I see myself returning frequently to the book to remind myself of being delighted on occasion, though I must say that seeing Grant's art served the same purpose, and I am inspired to try illustrating delights as well as writing them.

Well said, Duane!
Thanks for the inspiration!
Pet delights...
our dog, snoring in his bed,
pretending he needs to go out so he can blag a treat,
eagerly expecting me to fetch the ball caught under a cupboard.
Great idea for everyone to think of daily delights. I love the idea for encouraging children and grandchildren to reflect on the day.
Your comics are one of my delights! This is a wonderful collection!
Thank you, Jason!
Another one: perusing the latest Incidental Comics
Thank you, your delights are delightful and beautiful drawn.
This was nust brilliant and I appreciated in particular the bits about being a dad and the delight of leaving a party 😄 I can relate to that!
So many delights! I also finished Ross Gay's Book of Delights, and am delighted to notice so many of them around me.

I loved this, Grant. "Standing just outside the party," is an underrated but wonderful delight.
I love your cartoons. They are always a bright spot in my day. Your delights are my delights and remind me to be thankful.
