I'm not often left with feelings after reading comics. You change that. Often, I feel inspired or a little warm. I can tell you definitely though, that I always end up smiling and feeling less alone after reading your works.

This touched my heart. With so much going on, part of my morning meditation today was just trying to open my head and my heart to whatever comes next. Thank you for your wonderful, heart-filled comics!

A lovely antidote to the February doldrums

Grant Snider's avatar

February is the longest month of the year, paradoxically.

Your wobbly beginner lines bring a smile to faces across continents. Remember that every time work feels repetitive :)

Beautious.

Also, “Slow Down, You Yay-Hoos” should be a t-shirt

I'd wear it while shouting from my porch, though I'm on a cul de sac so it's mostly just delivery drivers...

This might be my favorite! Ride on!

No matter how much one knows one should always approach learning as an abecedarian.

Was just the “out written words of how feeling in a dreary repetitive … not going & not advancing as wanting & needing time.

Move or get in the way…. Or Maybe …Reflect give yourself a slow break enjoy the warm Coffee ,Tea, Hot Chocolate….stay warm think … & then start another small project outside or inside & congratulate yourself with the accomplishment.

Lovely! We were meant to remain lifelong learners - full of awe and the joy of discovery. The bicycle, as an evolutionary imperative, facilitates that.

Grant Snider's avatar

"evolutionary imperative," I like that phrase!

Jon Tate's Daily Practice's avatar

Same! I saw it on bike Twitter years ago and I can’t unsee it.

dear grant,

beautiful piece!

i love "Join me on my beginner’s journey, or get out of the way."

it reminds me of a sign my grandmother had up in her home: "be nice or get out."

also, i love how in the final panel of the cartoon, the words "discovering other people like me" are placed in such a way that it could be two thoughts:

1) "discovering other"

and

2) "people like me"!

thank you for sharing as always!

love

myq

Ha, I like that splitting of the line!

i’m glad

you did it!

Thanks always for sharing your drawings and words, seemingly simple, yet resonating to the depths, drawing a grin from within. I especially love the last panel with the last 2 pics...beginners open to give and to receive, or to love, or both? A beginner at being old(er), how to move, how to slow down, how to navigate, how to definitely learn new ways of being. Also, really appreciate your written thoughts.... about midlife opportunity and the world not being broken. Thanks for doing your thing to give a little love to the world :)
