Those imperfections are what make us human, and so they *should* be in our creations. After all, we have all seen soulless AI art and been put off by it, so why not create imperfect *human* pieces! 🥰
I LOVE your panels. They absolutely resonate in my experiences. One day, I woke up and realized that the day was a gift. I get to see what happens. And that is the true adventure.
"That’s where the excitement lies." Thank you, Grant Snider.
I loved this and found it really inspiring. When I started writing my book, I decided up front I would never consider publishing it. It was for me alone and that was so freeing. My book overall is garbage, but there are a couple of chapters I like, a few paragraphs that are pretty good and a couple of sentences that to me really sparkle! Now I need to apply that mindset to my watercolor in, most of which look like cat barf!! Thanks for illustrating this so well!
Great reminder for us all 😁

Thanks Grant. Needed to hear this - again! Considering having it tattooed down both arms!
Just need to find the perfect tattoo artist first 😁
😂 Agh! Nooooooo! 😂

Thank you, Judy, great message!
So great! And I just got my hands on the book "Finish." Looking forward to digging in.
So fab! Sharing with my favorite perfectionists! Saving a copy for myself.
Perfection is a journey not an end point!
So true. Solid content!
There’s so much more joy in imperfections than there could possibly be in the agony of chasing an elusive ideal.
Do your best and expect a few pratfalls. And laugh once you begin to pick yourself up again. We’ve all been there. We’ll understand.
Loved it. Maybe needed this at this point :)
Another good book in this vein: *Meditations for Mortals”.
Love that book!

All writers have "drawer novels" which will never see the light of day. I happen to have a dozen or so of them...
Thank you for the reminder.
Amen! I’m going to have to get the poster version!
Dear Grant,
Beautiful piece! Thank you for sharing it!

You are welcome!
Love love love this! So true!
The problem is that if you don’t aspire to perfect you generally wind up with something far below your best.
