A Puzzle
from my book Poetry Comics
It’s National Poetry Month, a perfect time to read and draw poetry comics. I like poems that ask pose unanswerable questions.
Questions like: “Who am I?” “What do I want to become?” “Why is every puzzle on my shelf missing a piece?”
POETRY COMICS is a finalist for the Pennsylvania Mountain Laurel Book Award, and a Lion and the Unicorn Honor book for Excellence in North American Poetry.
You can find it at Bookshop, at your favorite local bookstore, and everywhere books are sold.
Next Friday I’ll be a guest at the Ritratti di Poesia festival in Rome, then I’ll make a quick visit to the Bologna Children’s Book Fair. There I hope to meet some of the publishers of the beautiful international editions of Poetry Comics, including Garbuix Books, Editions Milan, Randazzo Publishing, and Eurasian Publishing.
Stay tuned next week for an exciting book announcement!

❤️ So relevant. Just left the stable big corp job and trying to find my own destiny.
Thanks as ever, Grant. This one's a 'favoured favourite' here for this reader who's a reactive soul subject to false urgency and perfectionism. One reason why my kind and colourful companion "GPC" (hardcover Grant's 'Poetry Comics') is tucked vertically between the cushion and the arm of my cosy armchair: close at hand to open for a quieting breather any-old-time. Appreciate its company often and a lot. Trustworthy stuff, always.
